Many people approach God with fear viewing him as a scary judge because of sin. Today we see that those who trust Jesus have full assurance that God is a loving father not a scary judge. This is because those with the spirit are set free from the law of sin and death since God has defeated death for us putting us under new mangagement and giving us a certain hope in the ressurection. This assurance of the spirit gives us certainty that we need not shrink in fear before God but instead should call on him for help as a loving father as we wait for the time when Christ returns that we might share in his inheritance.
