Bayside Youth
Year 6 to Year 12
Friday Nights 6:00 to 8:30pm
Welcome to the online hub for youth at Village Church. We're a growing community of young people who are committed to caring for each other while we explore what the Bible says about Jesus, and how that might impact our lives.
We recognise that the teenage years are a time of big change. For many parents and youth it is full of challenges as relationships change, independence grows and the influence of peers increases. This why village youth exists to help parents and teenagers navigate the rollercoaster of adolescence and high school by showing how Jesus gives us the good life.

We’re building a community for young people to explore who Jesus is with each other.
Bayside Youth is a combined ministry of All Souls Leichhardt and Village Church Annandale, two Anglican churches partnering together to see young people know Jesus in the Inner West.
We aren’t just two churches partnering together, we’re individual people being united by Jesus.
We are a community of young people meeting together to encourage one another as we hear God speak, to bring our lives before him.
We are a community that expects to see lives transformed by God’s Grace.
We are a community that is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus with people who have not yet tasted and seen that the Lord is good.
Bayside happens on Friday nights from 6pm-8:30pm, during the school term.
Lift happens on Sunday Mornings from 9:30am-11:00am, during the school term.
The Junior High Schoolers spend time together getting to hang out, play games, have morning tea together and explore the Bible in a discussion group.
Lift follows the same Bible passages as the Sunday Morning Gathering
Our Senior High Schoolers meet during Village Mornings each Sunday during the school term.
The group spend the time together chatting, having tea and food, and explore the Bible in a discussion group.
Lift follows the same Bible passages as the Sunday Morning Gathering
We encourage our senior youth, to join the evening gathering on Sunday Nights (6pm-7:30pm). This a great place for older teenagers to begin getting to know some of the adults at church, be pushed in their thinking about what the Bible says about Jesus.
At Village Evenings we sing songs, spend time praying, hearing God's Word (the Bible) read out and explored through a sermon, share in a question and comment time and have dinner together after the gathering.
Village Evenings happens every Sunday night from 6pm-7:30pm, (plus dinner)
KYCK is a conference for highschoolers in the Blue Mountains where they come together with other youth from around the state to hear six Bible talks across a weekend. These talks encourage and equip youth to live boldly for Jesus.
The weekend includes bible talks, singing with Christian artists, meeting other high schoolers from different youth groups, as well as spending quality time together as Bayside Youth Group. It is a packed, yet encouraging weekend!
We attend the first weekend on Friday 11th - Sunday 13th April, 2025 at the Katoomba Christian Convention Center (just near the Scenic Railway).
Leaders in Training (LIT) is a highlight for many of our high school students as we spend a week away with other young christians learning from the Bible, being pushed in our ability to read, understand and teach God's word, and develop core skills and characteristics for christian leadership.
The senior youth that attend use these skills as they serve as Junior Leaders in our Kids Ministry
Refresh is the annual church camp.
Taking place in the last weekend of March this is a great way to kick off the year for our community to get to know each other, spend time thinking about God and his Word, and look forward to the things coming up in the year ahead.
A Youth program runs alongside the adult gathering, with extra fun, bush walks and other activities, aimed at building community.
We love supporting parents/carers to grow and develop in their role as primary guides and disciplers in their Youths lives.
To help support this we host a series of Family Seminars, on a range of topics, that many families are thinking through.
In 2025 they will take place,
