Specifically this year our immediate priorities as a church are:
See our church return to safe physical meetings while maintaining a strong online ministry.
Complete the purchase of a three bedroom house in the Annandale area.
Set Tiffany Bryant up with the best chance of a successful transition, taking on the kids ministry leadership after Josh Vallentine.
See Samuel and Emily Loa-Ferreira properly sent to Portugal, with proper support and the best chance of succeeding in mission to that country.
Given that we stretched so hard in faith and generosity with the Intergenerational Gift last June, our budget changes for 2022 are quite modest. Our 2022 financial initiatives are to:
Help Samuel and Emily with a significant contribution to their set up and first year costs ($20,000).
Raise half the funds needed to appoint Alvin Wong as a ministry trainee ($22,000).
Supporting Greenfields purchases of land in south west sydney + sponsoring Scripture at Sydney Secondary College ($20,000).
Starting January 2022, instead of paying off a loan on the church building we have written an amount in the budget to pay off the loan on our new staff house.
While this will involve a slight overall increase in our budget, we pray that it is achievable in the kindness of God even in these difficult financial times, especially taking into account the overall growth in Village membership.
For you community groups to watch together, or beforehand.
