FAQ
Where does the money from my children’s registration go?
Registration for VillageKIDS Club helps cover the cost for afternoon tea, activity, craft materials and some of the other costs involved in running a children program. We do not aim to make a profit, and money from the registration is used for all VillageKIDS programs.
The cost is $50 a term or $180 a year, further discounts for 2+ kids. Week to Week payment is also available.
If cost is an issue please reach out and we can discuss how to help.
My child does not attend ANPS or APS, can they still come?
Yes, they are welcome to attend. We have afternoon tea and free play until 4pm to allow for families traveling from further afield. We currently have kids that attend from a range of other nearby schools, for example Stanmore, Five Dock, Summer Hill and Earlwood.
There even families from these schools that buddy up and one parent drives all the kids.
We also offer pick up from St Brendon’s Catholic School.
My child does not attend Anglican Christian SRE, can they still come?
Yes, they are welcome to attend. We love all people no matter their belief and background, and are seeking to create a community for your child and you, where you are loved and cared for. We have families that send their children from Catholic, Ethics and Non Scripture.
Please be aware that we do include a Bible teaching time as part of the program.
My child cannot attend every week, what does this mean for cost and registration?
We do offer a half price for children from split households or similar; who cannot attend each week. Were also happy to provide week to week if needed.
Please email and we can discuss further about the cost.
We also welcome one off visits to check out VillageKIDS Club.
How do I know my kids are safe when traveling from school to the church?
All leaders complete safe ministry training (child protection training) and WWCC. We aim to have two leaders walking with the children from school, to allow for one at front and back of the group.
For further safety of the children we implement that children walk in pairs, holding hands when crossing the Road or commercial driveway. This follows the same routine that they follow when leaving the school grounds as part of a school event.
Are parents/carers allowed to attend?
We love having parents/carers visit. Parents are welcome to hang around and observe the program. We also have many families that come early for pick up allow with their younger children that join us for game and craft.
Each term we also run MEGA Afternoons, e.g. BBQ, movie night, and big games. Which families are invited to attend.
I do not need after school care until 5.30pm, can I pick my earlier?
You are welcome to pick up at any time, the program runs until 5.30pm to allow those that need care to utilise it. Across the afternoon the kids enjoy afternoon tea, challenges, Bible, games and craft.
Most of the kids stay until 6pm as they do not want to miss out on any activities, but are sometimes picked up early if families have other commitments.
